Design Process

Before Beginning any character design sketching I'd like to discuss the design with you as much as possible to make sure we're on the same page.We would discuss anything you're set on the character having. This could be things like the characters age, gender, species and body type but doesn't have to be super specific if you want to play around with it.We can discuss things like general aesthetics and themes for the character as well as any character designs you'd like to draw inspiration and anything you wouldn't want to see.If any ideas come to mind or there's anything you'd like to test we can also discuss it. For example how we might incorporate a power or make a character read as a certain personality or have a certain vibe. However, most of this will probably explored in the sketching stage.

Sketching

Once I feel like we've got a good idea for what we're going for I'll start sketching. If we already know what body type and pose the end result will be I may draw a base to work from. (I'll make sure you like the base before sketching outfits). With designs for animal models I may also use this to explore some poses we could use for the final model.Where designs are rough or I'm thinking about how something might move I will likely ramble on a bit about what I'm trying to show. From there, you can pick and choose which elements to go with or develop further. If you're completely unhappy with all the designs we can go back to stage one and rediscuss what you're looking for.

Colour

Once we've decided on a final sketch design we can move on to colouring. Which is basically the same process as the sketching stage but now in colour.
